Excavation Services to Repair or Replace Sewer Lines in Chatham-Kent
At JP Carey Sewer Cleaning, we provide professional excavation services in Chatham-Kent and the surrounding areas to repair or replace damaged sewer and storm lines, resolve basement water seepage issues, and restore full drainage systems. Excavation is often the final step after inspection and diagnosis, ensuring long-term solutions for your property.

When It’s Needed
Excavation becomes necessary when other methods can’t resolve the problem. Here are the most common situations:
Broken or Collapsed Pipes
Camera inspections often reveal pipes that have cracked, collapsed, or shifted, issues that require digging for repair or replacement.
Blockages That Can’t Be Cleared
If augers or high-pressure flushing fail to remove severe obstructions, excavation is the only way to access and fix the problem.
Water Seepage or Flooding
Persistent basement flooding caused by underground pipe issues often demands excavation to restore proper drainage.

TESTIMONIALS
Major Excavating Work
“This past year, J.P. Carey Excavating performed a lot of major excavating work to retro-fit the drainage surrounding our residential property. The scope of work performed by six hard-working men: Jim Phil Dylan Marshall Josh and Collin was enough to fill a book. See Attached Pixs!
In lieu of a litany of anecdotal details, I’d like to nominate a Mascot for market advertising to represent J.P. Carey Excavating’s craftsmanship of their trade. I nominate the Australian Wombat, the world’s largest burrowing animal. The average Wombats is 3.3 feet long, weighing 55 to 88 Pounds, can run at speeds of up to 24.8 miles per hour up to 90 seconds.
Each individual, digs up several tons of soil each year of its Five-to-30-year life span. Wombats are extremely strong and very proficient diggers, digging out a multitude of underground burrows up to 20-inches wide, 10 to 100 feet in length and up to 11.5 feet deep beneath the surface. Some of their underground burrows can contain tunnels over 656 feet long!
Like their commonwealth cousin, the Canadian Beaver, Wombats are Ecosystem engineers. They improve soil health by assisting in the mixing of organic matter and plant seeds into freshly aerated compact soil as well as improving water absorption and reducing combustible material.
Over the course of their life, the numerous and large size of their constructed burrows routinely provide shelter for other wildlife to live, seeking safety from predators and bushfires.”
